The pub and location
Our vision for the Duke of Oxford is to be the best local pub offering the best pint and great value pub food where friends & families gather, new friendships are made and experiences shared. A true community pub at the centre of all that goes on in Weston-Super-Mare. You will show SKY & TNT Sports throughout the week, run quizzes and entertainment with teams for both pool and darts. You will, in effect, have something for all ages and tastes with a focus on community and charity events.
The Duke of Oxford has an open plan trading area with zoned off area’s for live sports, dining & games teams. There is a catering kitchen.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience managing a busy food pub or hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A passion for great food, drink, and customer service.
- Commercially astute with experience in stock control, budgeting, and driving sales.
- Community-minded with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Private Accommodation
The pub consists of a two-bedroom flat with a lounge, kitchen and bathroom all of which will be maintained to Punch property standards post investment.

The Punch Management Partnership offers a unique opportunity to run your own pub business, with affordable in-goings and the freedom to lead your own team, manage your business within a framework and support from Punch in a proven partnership model.
You’ll receive an uncapped share of top‑line turnover, giving you the flexibility to pay yourself and your team in a way that works for your business. Your own Ltd Company will provide the day‑to‑day management of the pub, retain full ownership of team and operational decisions, whilst managing associated costs such as wages and minor repairs. Alongside this, you’ll benefit from extensive operational support, including marketing and recruitment within a framework designed to help your business thrive.
