We’re looking for a Publican, possibly with local knowledge, who is looking to run this popular pub, providing a welcome service, outstanding drink and classic pub menu to both local and visiting guests.
The Ferry is a spacious pub with a welcoming look and feel throughout. The main trading space includes a public bar catering to drinkers and sports fans. This pub also boasts two dining areas split across two floors, with the upstairs dining space offering fantastic views over the River Mersey and the City of Liverpool.
The Ferry is popular for serving quality cask ales and Sunday lunches. It also benefits from an outdoor table licence on Egremont Promenade, so attracts plenty of passing footfall.
The Ferry makes the most of its spectacular waterfront setting, trading as a food destination pub with a mid-market classic pub menu. The kitchen can provide for up to 60 covers.

The Ferry has prime position on the watefront in Egremont, which is an area of Wallasey in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside.
It’s bordered by New Brighton to the north, Liscard to the west and Seacombe to the south, and faces the city of Liverpool on the far shore of the River Mersey.
The ideal operator will have the creative vision and ability to deliver the optimum and consistent guest experience. Food is a big part of our offer. Although not complex, it does require absolute attention to detail and high standards at all times. You will have a proven track record of serving delicious food with the ability to motivate and manage an efficient kitchen team.
Meeting statutory requirements will be second nature to you, and previous experience of achieving excellent results and feedback on compliance will be evident.

The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. Punch will ensure that this accommodation is in good order.
We’re considering a potential medium sized investment to improve the layout of the bar area and fixed seating in this pub, add an additional outdoor space and to redecorate external and internal trade areas.

Alongside tonnes of day to day support and a brilliant framework to grow the business, we provide an uncapped cut of top line turnover to pay yourself and your team in exchange for your Management Company providing the management services at the pub – it’s your structure to own, subject to management company costs including, but not limited to, staff costs, minor repairs and maintenance at the pub, security/door staff and insurance. We understand how important it is for a Management Company to completely own their own team.
