A Well-Positioned Cornish Pub with a Strong Food Reputation
The Pub
The Halsetown Inn is a well-known pub located on the outskirts of St Ives, with an established reputation for quality food, Cask Marque accredited ales and a welcoming atmosphere.
At the heart of the pub is a central bar serving both the drinking and dining areas, creating a layout that works equally well for casual visits, family meals and group gatherings. Food plays an important role in the business, providing a strong platform for an operator looking to build on an already successful offer and maintain the pub’s reputation within the local area.
The pub also benefits from a large customer car park with space for around 20 vehicles, a valuable feature in such a popular part of Cornwall.
Location
The Halsetown Inn sits in the village of Halsetown, just outside St Ives, on a main route connecting the town with the wider area.
St Ives is one of Cornwall’s most popular destinations, renowned for its beaches, harbour and vibrant food and tourism scene. The pub’s position allows it to benefit from year-round local trade while also attracting tourists visiting the area.
Ideal Publican
This opportunity will suit a food-focused publican or partnership who understands the importance of consistency, quality and customer service.
Someone who can build on the pub’s existing reputation while maintaining a strong food and drink offer will do well here. Just as important will be the ability to engage with the local community while making the most of the pub’s position close to St Ives.
A hands-on approach, attention to detail and a passion for hospitality will be key to success.
Accommodation
The pub includes private on-site accommodation, comprising of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge.
