Overview

The Meynell Ingram Arms is far more than just a village pub – it is a destination rich in heritage, character, and community spirit. With centuries of history behind it, a loyal local following, and significant potential for growth, this iconic countryside pub is preparing for an exciting new chapter, supported by a substantial investment to enhance the offer and elevate the guest experience.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and commercially driven Management Partner to take the reins and maximise the opportunities this investment will create. As part of the Fireside Collection, the pub will benefit from a refreshed proposition, combining historic charm with exceptional hospitality, warm welcomes, attention to detail, and all the hallmarks of a great Fireside pub. This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-loved local landmark, build on its proud heritage, and establish the Meynell Ingram Arms as the go-to destination for both the community and visitors alike.

A Rich Heritage

The Meynell Ingram name is woven into the fabric of British history. The family traces its roots back to the 1700s and rose to prominence through Hugo Meynell, a distinguished politician and renowned Master of the Quorn Hunt, widely regarded as one of the founding figures of modern fox hunting.

The Meynell Ingram connection was established in 1782, when Hugo Meynell married Elizabeth Ingram, whose family owned extensive estates, including the famous Temple Newsam estate near Leeds. Their descendants combined their surnames, becoming the Meynell Ingrams, a family whose legacy continues to shape the local area today.

For generations, the Meynell Ingram Arms has proudly stood at the heart of village life, serving locals, visitors, travellers, and country sports enthusiasts alike.

The Opportunity

Over the centuries, the Meynell Ingram Arms has served as a stop for travellers, a meeting place for villagers, and a home for good ales, great food and even better stories.

This beautiful pub is ready to begin an exciting new chapter. With the support and expertise of the Fireside Collection brand, we see the Meynell Ingram Arms re-ignited with the warmth, training, attention to detail, and all the special touches that Fireside brings to create truly exceptional pubs.

This is an opportunity for a Management Partner who can blend traditional hospitality with modern standards, creating a welcoming destination where guests return time and time again.
