The ideal operator will make the Red Lion the go-to destination for families, couples, and young people. Guests will migrate here for delicious, home-cooked food in a beautiful rural setting. You will support the local football, pool, darts, Aunt Sally, and quiz teams.
The garden space allows an experienced operator to maximise cover space with outdoor dining in the summer and covered seating in the colder months.
You’ll also take advantage of the function room housed in an annexe building which can be used for community events, charity gatherings and private functions. Total covers internally and externally will be around 170.
Ideal operator
You’ll be an experienced food operator, the quintessential host and confident in delegating to a well-trained and engaging team. We’re looking for an entrepreneur who will excel in all aspects of the business, ensuring consistency in standards from the kitchen to the cellar.
The ideal operator will excel when managing trade peaks in the summer and executing an internal food offer alongside an external food and drink offering. You’ll be an integral part of the local community and proud to deliver excellent training to your staff. Hungry to drive sales and deliver consistent excellence in a highly competitive environment.
You’ll be an expert plate spinner and understand the importance of welcoming guests, creating an inclusive atmosphere, and supporting your team to perform at the highest possible level. You’ll be proud to represent your pub within the community and always have one ear to the ground, understanding what matters to your locals.
The ideal Publican will know what makes a good event, ensuring guests have a wonderful time with high-quality service. You’ll know your regulars, what they drink, where they like to sit and take a genuine interest in their story. You’ll create a wonderful place to work for staff in a community-focused pub with regular events and fundraising activities.
Private accommodation
The private accommodation comprises three bedrooms, an en-suite, a living room, an office, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
