The Red Lion is a popular community pub in the heart of Rastrick. We gave it an internal and external investment only a few years ago, enhancing the pub to its best.

You’ll find the Red Lion in the heart of the Rastrick residential area. You’ll love it if you enjoy local community life and creating a delicious menu, as the pub’s commercial kitchen is in excellent condition.

The pub has two very distinct trading areas: a dining area at the rear catering for thirty-four covers and a bar area at the front of the pub with a pool table. We’re looking for an operator with the vision to capitalise on the broad customer base.

The front bar has diverse beers on tap, live TV sport, and a pool table. It’s popular with guests looking to meet for a drink, socialise with friends or watch the big match. The dining area at the rear is nicely located away from the hustle and bustle of the front bar and provides the perfect setting to enjoy a meal with friends and family.

About the local area

You’ll find the Red Lion in Rastrick, Brighouse, known for the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band. The pub is just a mile from the centre of Brighouse and forms part of the Calder Valley. Brighouse has its own train station, is a couple of miles from the M62, and is home to two local high schools and good amenities. There is also a local cricket club and bowling club for sports enthusiasts.

Ideal operator/s

The ideal operator would be one who wants to place the Red Lion at the heart of the local Rastrick and Brighouse community. You will not only have a good understanding of how to develop the food offered at the Red Lion but will also be a keen sports enthusiast who would thrive when offering live sport and live entertainment.

Accommodation

The pub has spacious private accommodation with three bedrooms, a private kitchen, a dining room, and an office.
