Now is a fantastic time to take the reins, as we have invested in the ground floor refurbishment, a new boiler and energy-efficient glazing and storage heaters for the letting bedrooms. You will, therefore, have the logistical foundations to run a sustainable business.

We’re looking for a Five Star publican with the experience needed to maximise the potential of the upstairs function room with a fully functional bar, a sports area to the rear, a restaurant, nine living bedrooms and a small beer garden at the rear of the pub overlooking the stunning castle ruins.

You’ll also have catering experience with a fastidious eye for detail. We’re looking for an operator enthusiastic about food who will take full advantage of the large catering kitchen and cellar.

You’ll find the Station Hotel on a hill with stunning views on the outskirts of Penrith in the Lake District. The astute Publican will maximise the benefits of a thriving tourist trade.

The train station provides access from all over the country and the castle ruins behind the station are a tourist attraction alongside the diverse walks around Penrith, making it a great midway point for visitors to the Lakes.

The ideal Publican

We’re looking for a talented Publican with boundless energy to maximise the potential of this multi-faceted business.

Your diligence will be second to none and you will restlessly be seeking new ways to attract the region’s visitors to your establishment.

You’ll be the host with the most and lead from the front inspiring your team to delight every guest.

You’ll be an experienced operator with previous letting experience. You’ll need to attract locals and tourists and have funds for the fixture and fittings costs.

We’re looking for a local, as there is no private accommodation.
