The White Lion is traditional and homely pub at the heart of Buckley. The pub welcomes its customers into an open plan trading area, with a space for dining to the right-hand side and a gaming area to the left. The pub is well loved by locals for its iconic live entertainment and live sports offer.
The pub has a great reputation for its home-cooked food, especially its Sunday lunches, and has a well equipped kitchen that can cater for up to 40 covers. Outside the pub is a beautiful beer garden that is the perfect place to take refuge in the summer. Its large grassed area is often used for large community events, such as Jubilee Day, making the pub a real community hub. The pub also benefits from a large car park with 24 spaces.
About the local area
The pub is ideally located just outside of Mold and is only a 15 minute drive from Chester city centre. Buckley has a small town centre with various shops ranging from privately owned outlets to supermarkets. The pub sits on a busy road, so sees plenty of passing traffic and it’s also within easy walking distance of a large number of residential properties. The main A55 road connection to North Wales is just ten minutes away, giving easy access to a wealth of tourist attractions.
The White Lion presents a great opportunity for a Publican who thrives at the heart of local community life. It will be perfect for a couple or a family looking to run a joint business, with an individual to focus on the food offer to ensure the pub maintains its reputation for delicious pub grub.
The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge.
