Punch Pubs & Co, in collaboration with charity partner Only A Pavement Away, has proudly announced its latest initiative to support the national Food For Thought campaign.

Only A Pavement Away is the national charity supporting people facing homelessness to rebuild their lives through employment in hospitality.

The charity’s various national campaigns include Fill A Flask, which has previously been supported by Punch Pubs, and most recently its Food For Thought campaign, which mobilises the hospitality industry to fund meals for those in need whilst raising awareness for World Homeless Day.

The latest inspiring collaboration included the donation of 2,100 portions of Vietnamese curry, which was matched by equal portions of rice by wholesale food supplier, Brakes.

This generous contribution is a testament to one of Punch Pub’s core business values – Doing Well by Doing Good, which is a cornerstone of their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.

By aligning their efforts with Only A Pavement Away, Punch Pubs continues to demonstrate their dedication to making a positive impact on local communities.

In addition to the Vietnamese Curry servings, Punch Pubs also donated 612 individual servings of Christmas puddings, which Brakes delivered free of charge as part of the same campaign.

Punch Pubs & Co Strategic Corporate Affairs & ESG Lead, Jon Dale, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Only A Pavement Away once again. Our shared values and commitment to supporting our communities make this collaboration truly special. We believe that by working together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of many. I’m looking forward to future collaborations and continuing to build on our strategic partnership, with more exciting activities in the pipeline.”

CEO & Founder of Only A Pavement Away, Greg Mangham, said: “The generous initiative led by Punch Pubs to fill a large number of flasks with soup helped many people who were struggling to buy food and having to rely on food banks. This has since developed into immense support for our Food For Thought campaign. These campaigns only meet their objectives with the right support, and Punch Pubs has taken this to another level, proving just how vital pubs and hospitality are to both their communities and the wider economy.”

This collaboration underlines the importance and power of partnerships in driving meaningful change. Together, Punch Pubs, Only A Pavement Away, and Brakes are making strides towards a brighter, sustainable future.
