The Kings Arms in Monkton Farleigh opened its doors following a £300k investment by pub owners, Punch.

The Kings Arms is a beautiful pub, steeped in history and the investment has sympathetically lifted the pub whilst maintaining all its existing charm and elegance, creating a warm and friendly environment customer’s new and old are sure to enjoy.

Works included a full internal redecoration with new furnishings throughout. The beer garden has also been updated providing a fantastic space for customers to enjoy good food and drink outside in this stunning location.

Monkton Farleigh is a beautiful village 5 miles outside of Bath and is a destination spot for tourists visiting the area. With four rooms available for Bed and Breakfast, The Kings Arms regularly hosts visitors from all over the UK.

The Kings Arms will continue to be ran by Publicans Charlotte Davies and Lewis Parsons who took over the pub in August 2018.

Charlotte said, ‘’We love this pub and the village, and we are so excited for all our customers to see its fresh new look. The Kings Arms is a real community pub and we are passionate about ensuring the pub remains the central hub of Monkton Farleigh’

The pub is known for its high-quality cask ale offer and also offers Laine craft beers, delicious Thatcher’s cider and a range of wines and gins for customers to choose from.

Following the refurbishment, Managing Director of Operations, Andy Spencer said, “The Kings Arms is a stunning pub with a natural charm. It was important that this was maintained, and we are extremely pleased with the investment and are confident that this will continue to be an integral business in the beautiful village of Monkton Farleigh. Charlotte and Lewis are passionate about the pub and I’m sure it will be a fantastic community pub, that is open and welcoming to all who visit the area.’’

Punch owns and operates 1300 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales and is investing £32 million in its pub estate in the next year with the right Publicans running their pubs.
