The Squirrel Reopens following 330k Investment

Following an impressive £330k investment, the Squirrel pub in Amersham has reopened its doors with Management Partner John Lee Perry taking the reigns.

The Penn Street pub has been lovingly rejuvenated following a complete internal and external renovation. During its eight-week renovation, the Squirrel underwent works to maximise the trading potential of the bar and dining spaces by adding improved seating and secluded snug areas. The interior of this beautiful pub has been styled to enhance all the pub’s natural charms and traditional features.

Externally, the luxe touches can be seen on arrival at the Squirrel. The addition of contemporary outdoor seating has enhanced the luscious green area at the front of the pub, giving guests enjoying a nice cool drink the perfect view of the stunning surroundings. And the outdoor space doesn’t stop there; as you venture through the pub to the back, the verdant beer garden has been transformed to create an idyllic escape for guests to relax, take in the scenic countryside and sample some of the sumptuous new food and drinks offered on the pub’s menu.

Experienced Management Partner John is keen to deliver the community and guests a countryside pub experience perfect for all occasions. John said, “This pub is a real village landmark, and I cannot wait for the local community to experience their new-look pub. The new menu is simply stunning, full of decadent new dishes and fantastic drinks. It’s everything the community and guests have been waiting for. Aside from the great food and drinks, we’re particularly proud of the garden – with the rest of the summer ahead, there is no better time to reopen!”

Our Senior Operations Manager Sarah Edmunds says, “We’re really excited and proud to reopen the new-look Squirrel. Much loved already, the investment has reinvigorated the pub to ensure that it remains the beating heart of the local community for many years to come. And, we’re looking forward to working alongside our new Management Partner, John, who is the perfect host to showcase all this pub has to offer.”
