The Gardeners Arms on Vale Road reopened this March under the helm of experienced Publican Mike Bloomberg.

Since its reopening, Mike and the team have been committed to putting the local back at the heart of the community by investing heavily into making guest experience a positive and memorable one.

An experienced Pub Operator Mike, who runs multiple businesses and two other local pubs, is excited to be putting the Gardeners Arms back on the map. He said: “I saw the opportunity at the Gardeners and immediately went for it. I’m a local guy and I’ve known the pub for a long time, it needed some TLC and I wanted to give it a go.

“We’re not a million miles away from where it needs to be, and the feedback locally has been nothing but positive. I’m proud of the team who have worked hard to rebuild the pub’s reputation and ensure that all guests, no matter the reason for their visit, have an enjoyable one!”

The Gardeners is a traditional, dog friendly pub with a drinks focus offering a range of beers, craft ales, ciders, spirits and softs. Complimenting their vast drinks range, guests can also take advantage of the pub’s happy hour on weekday afternoons.

Famous for its engaging sports offer, weekly quizzes and live entertainment at the weekends, the pub boasts four screens showing both Sky and BT sports with Mike also keen to encourage the start-up of a pub darts team.

Having undergone a small revamp, guests can enjoy the warmer weather and their favourite drink outside in the pub’s refurbished drinking area and whilst they do not offer a full food menu, the team have regular plans to offer complimentary food on events days and special occasions.

Mike continued: “We’re already off to a great start and I’m excited to see what the future brings here at the Gardeners Arms. With the Euros starting in just a couple of weeks’ time, we’re hoping to celebrate with the local community and continue to make memories throughout the summer.”
