The Old Grindstone sits at the heart of Broomhill, serving students, professionals, academics and local residents. It already has a loyal customer base and occupies a unique position in one of the city’s most vibrant suburbs.
Our vision for the Old Grindstone is to be the best local pub offering the best pint and great value pub food where friends & families gather, new friendships are made and experiences shared. A true community pub at the centre of all that goes on in the area. You will show SKY & TNT Sports throughout the week, run quizzes and entertainment with teams for both pool and darts. You will, in effect, have something for all ages and tastes with a focus on community and charity events.
The Old Grindstone has an open plan trading area with zoned off area’s for live sports, dining & games teams. Externally there’s a beer garden to the back and a seating area at the front
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing a busy food pub or hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A passion for great food, drink, and customer service.
- Commercially astute with experience in stock control, budgeting, and driving sales.
- Community-minded with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

The Partnership
