Two lucky publicans have won tickets to watch England play at UEFA EURO 2016™ courtesy of Punch, following a partnership with Carlsberg. Publicans were instantly entered into the competition when buying Carlsberg by the case, or on draught.

Andy Murray and Kerry Howells, from The Green Man in Royston, Hertfordshire, together with Mark Lynch and Guy Lissimore from The Bell in Bicester, have each won a ticket to the blockbuster fixture of England vs Wales in the group stages which is sure to be a fiery affair. The prize also includes travel and overnight accommodation, providing a complete hospitality experience for those that work so hard to provide their customers with an excellent level of service every time.

Mark, who has run The Bell for seven years, commented: “I’ve never been to the European Championships before and am hugely excited. I was in Berlin for the World Cup in 2006 and the atmosphere was incredible, so can’t wait to see how this match compares. Guy and I are watching the England v Wales game, which is obviously a crunch Home Nations encounter, and it’ll be interesting to see if it lives up to its pre-match billing.”

Andy, publican of The Green Man since 2013, added: “It was such a surprise to find out we’d won and we’re thrilled! Kerry and I are really looking forward to visiting Paris – as well as seeing the match it will be great to have a few days away together.”

Duncan Garrood, CEO of Punch, said: “We’re incredibly pleased to have given these publicans such an amazing prize – whether England reach the final or not, we know this will be a trip to remember! Wherever we can, we partner with suppliers to offer our publicans added value, and this partnership with Carlsberg was a great example. We’ll certainly be running similar competitions in future, so watch this space!”
