Leading independent pub company Punch has rewarded a Sheffield Publican with £1,000 credit to celebrate them placing the milestone 100,000th order on industry leading online portal – the Punch Buying Club – just twelve months since the platform was re-launched.

The Punch Buying Club was first introduced as a free resource to Punch Publicans in 2009 and was re-launched in January 2017 as a mobile friendly, faster and more efficient one-stop resource.

A staggering 100 million pints have been sold via the Punch Buying Club in the last 12 months alone.

Punch Publicans can place their orders online at a time to suit them, access paperless billing, dispense data, a whole raft of downloadable compliance, training and marketing material as well as up to date industry trends and news articles.

Punch’s Interim Chief Executive Officer Steve Dando said: “These significant milestones, achieved in just one year, are representative of our commitment to continually invest to develop the Punch Buying Club platform to ensure it meets the demands of an ever-evolving digital world and provide an enhanced service to our Publicans.”

Henry Wagg of the Crown and Glove in Stannington, Sheffield, who placed the 100,000th order added: “What a fantastic way to celebrate this achievement for the Punch Buying Club – we’re delighted to receive £1,000 towards our order!

“The site is quick and easy to use and is the most efficient way for us to place orders, make payments and access some really useful articles and resources.”

As part of its next phase of development, Punch is in the process of rolling-out snacks on the Buying Club for Publicans to order online.
