The WHite Horse is Open!

Following an extensive half-million-pound refurbishment, The White Horse in London Colney, St Albans, has reopened its doors with a twist.

Through investment, Punch has transformed one of the city’s favourite public houses with a delectable and hedonistic ambience, transforming the food and drinks menu for indulgent afternoons gearing up to decadent nights.

Quintessential host Peter Bell, who is taking the reins as former Batchwood Hall Nightclub General Manager, has this to say about the exciting new venture: “I adore St Albans and have lived here for over twenty years. My family and I class this as our home.

“I fell in love with the plans for The White Horse with its brand-new outside terrace, sumptuous new food menu, the wide selection of exciting cocktails, and a real focus on music and entertainment throughout the week.

“Just as important, as I’m such a big football fan, is the significant revamp of the sports offering with new HD screens showcasing those big-game moments. The pub also boasts the largest screen in the city, so there will be something for everyone here.”

As a previous Pub Watch Chairman for St Albans, Peter endeavours to ensure that The White Horse is both a fantastic local and destination venue.

Peter says: “I am looking forward to getting to know the locals. I’m sure they will love the brand-new White Horse look and feel, but don’t take it from me – see for yourself!”

Punch Senior Operations Manager Sarah Edmunds said: “We’re excited to unveil The White Horse’s well-deserved renaissance after a staggering £500,000 investment. It’s now back, reinvigorated to ensure that it is the beating heart of the local community, where it belongs.

“Now guests can explore the bespoke zones delectably designed to suit all tastes. Key attractions include DJs, live sports, late-night entertainment, decadent finger-licking burgers and wings, and mouth-watering cocktails to while away the hours.

“Peter is the ideal host for this atmospheric venue which promises to attract guests far and wide with its exciting new offer. We can’t wait for opening night!”
