The Village Inn in Shaw, Swindon, has reopened to guests following a £300k investment with Punch Pubs & Co.

The beloved pub, now under new management, reopened this October with a fresh new look, a new team and an indulgent menu, toasting to new beginnings.

Management Partner Shane Eagles and his family, who are long-standing guests of the pub, saw an opportunity to help it grow. Excitingly, they decided to take the plunge and embark on a new journey with their very own local.

Their ambition: combining pubs, passion and family to ensure that The Village Inn remains at the heart of the community for many years to come.

Speaking of the reopening, Shane said: “We were delighted to see so many faces join us in reopening The Village Inn, many of whom we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know from the other side of the bar over the years.

“I’m thrilled to hear such positive feedback on both the pub’s new look and its new offering, which we’re incredibly happy about. Of course, there’ve been teething problems, and we’re still settling in, but I want to thank everyone for their patience as we embark on our new venture. As a family, we are so grateful for the support, and we cannot wait to continue making many more memories here.”

Guests will notice stark changes to their local, with a complete refresh having taken place outside. New signage complements the Village Inn’s new clean aesthetic, with a children’s play area and ample seating for guests to enjoy all year round.

Inside, a complete redecoration throughout now boasts muted colours, ambient lighting and patterned flooring, against textured wallpaper, mixed fabrics and chic bric-a-brac, giving the place a homely, comforting and modern feel. A combination of artificial plants and flowers brings a touch of elegance and colour to the pub’s restaurant area, making it an inviting space to unwind, dine or socialise.

New to the Village Inn are two state-of-the-art darts boards, which can be found in a dedicated sports zone, featuring large screen televisions offering front row viewing to some of the world’s biggest sporting events.

But it’s not just aesthetic changes that have taken shape at The Village Inn. The pub’s food menu has also taken on a tasty upgrade. With everything you can expect from a great British pub, The Village Inn offers fresh, seasonal flavours in every dish, from stacked burgers and pies to hearty Sunday roasts, pastas and curries, which are already proving to be a hit.

Having had the time to settle into their new home, the Eagles family are looking forward to inspiring more moments at their local, and welcoming guests both old and new, to make memories in their beloved village pub for many years to come.
