Now is the time to take over this pub, as we’re planning an investment in the new calendar year to enhance its features and ready it for our Fireside Scenic concept, which is all about high-quality food and premium drinks, with cocktails and craft beer.

We’re looking for a Management Partner who can unlock the full potential of this beautiful iconic London pub. You’ll ensure that the Marquess is the first choice for local guests’, and you will be centre point for the area. You’ll be an experienced operator well-versed in running a successful and quality fresh food offer. Guest obsessed, you’ll own service personally, and will relentlessly drive sales and standards through entrepreneurialism and flair.

The pub and location

The Marquess is in a prime London spot, surrounded by a strong economy, plenty of chimney pots and local businesses. Canonbury and Highbury & Islington tube lines are a few minutes’ walk.

The pub benefits from a terrace which seats 16 cover, and significantly more for vertical drinking. We’re investing to increase inside and outside appeal. The main bar area has seating for 70+ covers with a large interior footprint. The pub boasts a modest private beer garden that will be modernised into a heated, cosy outside space, with soft lighting and furnishings.

Love working closely with an Operations Manager in providing the right management services to build an incredible pub legacy with uncompromising standards and stand out guest experience? Then the Punch Management Partnership Contract is the perfect option.

Alongside tonnes of day to day support and a brilliant framework to grow the business, we provide an uncapped cut of top line turnover to pay yourself and your team in exchange for your Management Company providing the management services at the pub – it’s your structure to own, subject to management company costs including, but not limited to, staff costs, minor repairs and maintenance at the pub, security/door staff and insurance. We understand how important it is for a Management Company to completely own their own team.

We love to engage Management Companies that help us create pub legacies that stand the test of time and become the hub of their community. We get that every pub has its own distinct character, so our Operations Manager will work closely with the Management Company to understand the true identity of the business, we can then help support and amplify this as part of the Management Partnership model.
